Black Friday has come early this year, with some fantastic deals on games and gear – here are our favorites

While there are still 2 weeks to go before the official Black Friday, we couldn’t help but notice that there are some fantastic deals on games and gear already being pushed out in the build-up to the ever-popular Thanksgiving holiday weekend. From the latest titles and consoles to hard drives, graphics cards, and monitors, there are some truly irresistible offers out there.
Some of the big retailers like Amazon and Best Buy are announcing their holiday sale deals earlier than usual this year, weeks in advance of the crazy day. The great news for you is that you can top up your collection with hot, discounted digital and physical titles and take advantage of some excellent reductions on equipment and accessories.
Early Black Friday gaming sales
- Amazon
Black Friday on Amazon runs for 10 days from November 18th until November 28th, 2022, so check in then to see their dedicated section. In the meantime, you can find some deals on accessories, consoles, and PC games. - Arcade1Up
As part of their Black Friday deals, you can pick up a retro arcade-style Simpsons game from this brilliant company that creates authentic replicas. Reduced from $699 to $299. Their awesome Terminator 2 replica is down from $699 to $399 if you get it from BestBuy.
- Best Buy
You can start saving today at Best Buy, as they have already started their holiday offers. Promising some of the best deals you will have seen all year, there are deals to be had across all of their stores, specifically for desktops, keyboards, and headsets. There are some fantastic discounts on games too, so check out their offers and boost your collection.
- EA Sports
There’s an 88% discount on The SIMS 4, standard edition if you purchase at Origin. For soccer fans, they have something new in FIFA Ultimate Team every hour on Black Friday and Cyber Monday – November 29. There will be Flash SBCs, Lightning rounds, special pack offers, and more.
- GameStop
While the official Black Friday deals aren’t out at the time of writing this, you can be guaranteed some excellent deals if last year’s sale is anything to go by. There are some attractive offers on their site already; for example, $10 off WW2K22 and up to 30% off Razer accessories.
- Microsoft Store
You’re a little early for Black Friday deals just yet, but other excellent offers are available now. Xbox fans can pick up Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for $8.99 (usually $59.99), Ace Combat – Skys Unknown – Top Gun: Maverick Edition – for just $18.74 (usually $74.99), and Mortal Kombat XL for $4.99 (usually $19.99).
- Nintendo eShop
Nintendo’s Black Friday deals kick off on Nov. 21 with a Nintendo Switch bundle including the Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and a 3-month membership to Nintendo Switch Online for just $299.99. They are also offering a large selection of Switch games with a 33% discount.
- PS Store
Playstation advises that you check their site on Black Friday, but in the meantime have an excellent selection of deals for games in November. No doubt the PS5 will be the number one target this Black Friday but it’s a mystery as to when they will be freely available.
- Target
Celebrate with Target who have an amazing deal on games: Buy 2 Get 1 Free.
While you can mix it up and choose books, board games, and puzzles as well as games, there’s such an awesome array of titles you’re sure to go for it. There are also excellent offers on gaming accessories and products – check here for their daily deals – as well as huge Black Friday discounts on Logitech accessories and Razer headsets, and a cracking Buy 1 get 1 15% off gaming gift cards.
- Walmart
There are some brilliant savings to be made across the whole month at Walmart, as their Deals for Days started on November 7th with discounts on headphones, controllers, and microphones. Games are already being discounted but the first in-store Black Friday sale begins on November 9th.
The second sale is on November 14th, and the in-store sale is on November 16.
The third starts online on November 21, the in-store sale is on November 25th, and will be followed up with a Cyber Monday sale on November 28.
